randomness

Seeing as this blog is full of random-randomness, I guess I can talk about anything I want... plus, who really is reading this? Oh, if you are and you know me, I should make a code word... then you just say that, whether random (haha, no pun intended (or at least not to start...(if you didn't get it, it's just me... don't worry about it))) or just brought up in conversation... so what word should I choose.... hmmmm, let me see, we could go with something weird, or a big long word... or, let me see... I know! Schadenfreude! Awe, come on spell check... you recognize Schwarzenegger but not Shadenfreude? What is this world coming to? But yeah, anyways, if you know me, and you read this... Shadenfreude is your friend :P (and for those of you that don't know, Shadenfreude means to feel satisfaction or pleasure in someone else's misfortune, ex. watching a sports game, not rooting for a particular team, but enjoy the one team's loss). I was going to talk about something else... but maybe later... so yeah, Shadenfreude...

Script vs. Novel vs. Short Story vs...

So, April is the month of Script Frenzy, which sadly, I am not doing... but that's probably because 1. I suck at ideas, and 2. I suck at scripts... I think I'm funny and I'm not, I'll admit that... I laugh at my own jokes and they aren't actually funny... like, to ANYONE. But, I have written a rather.. (cough, cough) may I say *Crappy* (cough, cough) novel and am working on another. But I've also written a short story or two and have just recently completed a script with a group of people for Drama class... The real question is, which is funner to write?
I think the part I enjoyed about the script is the fact that I know who is who and we are going to present it. I got to laugh at the things because I knew people would see how they were actually supposed to turn out. I think the part I would dislike most about writing a script would be the fact that I could not add as much detail to the writing.
Writing the novel or two, or at least working on them is fun to. You get to develop the characters and get attached to them easily, especially because you are with them for such a long time. The only thing is, it can also get annoying being with them for so long.
Short Stories are fun to write for a quick idea. You use one dimensional characters and a simple plot, but it puts an idea to paper in an interesting format.
I know, that I enjoy writing all three types of writing, depending on the idea that is to be written, and all are wonderful forms, as are many others

Time Management

Recently I've wanted to do a bunch of things. Weird things like learn dances, learn a new language, write a song... different things like that. The thing is, I suck at actually doing them! I definitely need to work on my time management. Like the fact that I've started this blog how long ago? and I only have what, 4 posts, including this one? and WHO knows about it? Although... that last one is beside the point and kind of for a reason seeing as this thing is POINTLESS! but hey, why shouldn't my friends know about the lame blog I've made, and probably won't update anytime to soon again... so yeah, time management, staying on task, and procrastination... sound like some good goals? now if only I I had the time to complete them...

OSSLT

So, today I wrote The Literacy Test in school. It wasn't bad, although it was really hyped up. I don't really understand the point. I know that the government wants to be sure we're learning and know, at least some English, but really? That much hype? For what? I test I probably could have passed in Grade 2? Well, maybe not the essay, but other than that... and definitely by grade 5! Why waist over 3 hours of precious class time, plus all the practice and prep, so really, closer to 5 hours or more. I just don't see that much difference. Why not hold a test for, say, maybe even 1 hour, with a bit of prep before hand, and cover the same sort of thing. And don't stress the kids out about it. Seriously, That thing was easy, but it was SO hyped up, that I am really surprised people didn't have stress attacks beforehand, or even during (although, for all I know, people did). I'm not saying don't do the test at all, just, try and find a better way to do so, it could be done with so much less stress.

How to change the world

So, how can I change the world? Well, how did anyone start? The world is really different then from even just 100 years ago, let alone the thousands that it has been here for, so how did it get to where things are today? Everything started with just one person, it started as a thought and an idea, this changed and transformed, and grew into something much bigger. Something not only life changing, but world changing. So changing the world should be quite simple, it's been done before, and with today's technologies it should make it that much easier, shouldn't it? Couldn't someone do something as simple as, start a web page, write a blog, or send out a mass e-mail and everyone would find out and take part? But is technology really all it's cracked up to be? If anyone could do this, and it worked, then why is the world the same today as it was yesterday? Why is it that bad things are still happening in the world, and the majority of the humans on this earth, and in the western world especially, go on and live their lives like the world is one big happy place without the slightest chance of something bad happening? You CAN make a difference, but better yet, WE CAN.

The first post!

So, this blog is for blogging! Now most of you are probably saying "No Duh! Why else would you create a blog?" Well, I just felt like putting that out there just to prove that there is not going to be any actual content on this thing. It's just going to be random randomness of random. So without further ado, here is the first post of random blogging!

"It's OK, writers should be strange"
